So today I realized that the USPSP has set a ‘Delivered’ status for a book I ordered and my new digital camera. There was no such delivery.
I like to talk to companies directly when I am having a problem like this. I don’t like to deal with automated anything. I couldn’t find anything on their website in terms of contacting them directly, so I looked around and came up with an 800 number.
To Reach Amazon.com Dial:
1-866-216-1072 or
1-206-266-2992 (international)
Then when you get to the menu, Press 7 to get to a human.
Hope this helps someone in the future!
[update] After calling Amazon about my lost packages, without any questions they have shipped out replacement packages with a new carrier. Very impressive. A big thumbs up for Amazon.com Customer Support.

Thank you for providing the correct phone # to reach Amazon customer service. I just had a similar situation happen to me — and they just replaced my order with a new one. Not only don’t they offer a phone # on their website, but every time I tried to click on Customer Service, it bombed!
One very frustrated but grateful (to you) user.

Thanks for this! I get so frustrated when I can’t get ahold of a human, especially right now when I needed to do a rush cancellation of an order!
Muchas Gracias!

Very useful!! Amazon.com send me a e-mail which they said have cancelled my order in, coz of out of stock. They also said my credit card wasn`t charged for. BUT thet did!! I was annoying coz there was no any information to cantact to them on their website… NOW, I have contacted to the customer service, which said they will give my money back for 2-3days.
Thans a lot!!

Thank you so much for this useful information. I had to contact Amazon today and was not able to find a phone number until I read your post. I blogged about my experience and I wanted to let you know that I linked back to you for giving me the phone numbers.
